About Greenlight

Greenlight started from a simple problem: AI agents can act faster than anyone can review, but not every action should happen without a person saying yes.

We built Greenlight as a small, self-hosted HTTP gateway that gives any agent or workflow a human-in-the-loop line to the chat apps teams already use — so approvals don't require a new dashboard, a new login, or a new habit.

Greenlight is source-available under BUSL-1.1: you can read the code, self-host it for free today, and it converts to Apache-2.0 four years after each release. Cloud and Enterprise editions are how we fund continued development, not a paywall on the core product.
